Wedding Advice!

- Give someone your camera for the day and ask them to take lots of pictures!
- Figure in travel time. Don't have yourself in two places (hotel getting ready & outside taking pictures) at the same time on your schedule!
- Let other people worry about things for you. The last time I saw the corsages & boutonnieres they were in a box at the hotel at 3pm. Somehow, everyone was wearing their flowers come ceremony time at 6:30pm!
- Practice peeing. No really. The best advice I've seen is to face backwards on the toilet- it worked like a charm, and even with my big dress I didn't need any help. But between the dress, backwards toilet and spanx, it was a good thing I practiced!
- If you have to travel to your wedding location, pack everything in an organized manner. It was very easy to tell my family "I need the blue box in the room with me, the green box goes to the venue, and the black box is for the rehearsal dinner!"

- Print out things like honeymoon itinerary, travel reservations and other necessary paperwork BEFORE the wedding.
- If you're worried about your reception set up, set things up at home and take pictures. I sent pictures with all my reception decorations, and everything looked great!
- Plan ahead of time when, where, and with whom you are going to bustle your dress. I actually forgot about the bustle until my BMs asked me if I wanted them to do it. We ended up hiding in front of the men's room, which was a little awkward.
- If you're using your computer to make guest lists, vendor lists, etc- make sure you ONLY keep one copy. If you update it, save it as an updated version and delete the old one. I ended up with 4-5 guest lists by the time my wedding rolled around, because I kept saving new ones in my Wedding folder.
